i have a cartech with 270 cc venom injectors. the static presure is at 46 i believe. at idle/cruising pressures are about 24. at WOT it is 82. i have the OE regulator removed. cruising i light up 2 greens on the air/fuel gauge and WOT it goes 2 short of full rich.

Venom 320s
28psi at 18 ~ 20 inches of vacuum
36psi at zero vacuum
77psi at full boost (this will likely need adjustment when I ditch my OE air intake this week).

Holden what year is your ecu and car i have a 96 gsr and do i install the same
injectors in mine are they 290cc

96 GSR, 96 ECU.
I lowered the static pressure to approximately 45psi. Idle pressure won't go below 35psi, although I saw 32psi while driving.
I also opened the bleeder about two turns.
Max FP was 80psi, with 8psi on the boost gauge. So 80 - 45 = 35. 35 / 8 = 4.4psi per pound rise rate. I need to get the restrictor in there! I think I know where it is now.
I experienced no driveability problems (I'm still at 6psi boost). Every thing was much richer on the A/F gauge. Closed loop pulsed further rich and WOT was 3 green LEDs richer than before.
No problems with detonation running without the OE FPR. I'm surprised more people don't just remove it instead of putting on an expensive aftermarket one or drilling holes and bypasses and stuff.
I doubt I'll tune it any more until I'm actually at 10psi.

Welcome back!
Well, I went ahead and tuned 6psi a little.
idle-0vac-max
30-45-60
Is working just fine.
It's amazing how much slower the Cartech reacts with the restrictor in. Maybe they should make the bleeder larger instead.
BTW: To those of you running just a Cartech, does FP drop to zero as soon as you turn the car off? My FP used to take a day to come down on it's own. Now it goes right to zero. I'm worried I have a leak somewhere.
Thanks,
Greg

Greg,
Mine goes right to zero when I shut it off with the cartech.

You can actually replace the small restrictor that came with the CarTech with one that looks like a regular fitting but has a brass restrictor inside (get it from any auto parts store). You can then use some very small drill bits of different sizes to enlarge the brass restrictor to tune the mechanical vacuum signal to the Cartech. You'll be amazed by how much more tuning is available to the fuel boost pressure by using the knob adjustment and the restrictor. However, make sure to enlarge the restrictor in gradual steps.
